What The HEC | Native Flowers in bloom

Thanks to Peter Watton, from Trees for Life, for sharing photos of this beautiful native flower, Viminaria juncea (Golden Spray or Native Broom), taken at Scott Creek Conservation Park.

A broad patch of these flowers have regenerated after the January 2021 bushfire and are flowering beautifully at the moment. This is a species Peter says he doesn’t often see, however, clearly, they do well after fire!
